Summary:
The Jeep Overland Limited Stroller is designed for dedicated runners. The front wheel is fixed, which provides better handling while out on a run, and the suspension system, though not as impressive as the BOB Ironman, still provides a very smooth ride.
-
This stroller also has some unique bonus features:
- iBaby sound system built in, with speakers near your child’s head so you can both listen to music
- parent tray with space for your personal items, 2 cup holders and a plug-in for your MP3 player
- built in odometer, which works much the same as a bike odometer and tracks distance and speed through a magnetic part that monitors the wheel movement
Travel Convenience:
The Jeep Overland Limited Stroller folds with easy-to-use clasps. While the fold down system isn’t as well designed as the BOB Ironman, the Jeep Overland has the additional benefit that the stroller remains upright after folding using their “free-stand” design. Note that the front wheel is also easy to remove in case you want to fit the stroller in an extra-tight space.
Safety:
The Jeep Overland Limited Jogging Stroller includes safety features such as:
- a 5-point safety harness
- a hand activated brake, for fast stopping even while running
- a parking brake, which engages and releases with the step of your foot
- a safety strap that ties to your hand
- the safety strap has reflectors, so you are more visible to traffic
- adjustable sun canopy with peak-a-boo window
Mobility:
The Jeep Overland Limited Jogging Stroller has an excellent suspension system, with three 16″ air filled wheels to go over heavy duty terrain. While this suspension system falls short of the industry leader, BOB Ironman Stroller, the Jeep Overland Limited is much less expensive and still provides very good performance relative to the price.
Note that this stroller does lose some maneuverability at the grocery store or on the street due to the front locked wheel but this jogging stroller is designed specifically for just jogging or running and that’s where it performs best. For an all-around-stroller, we highly suggest the BOB Revolution, which has the adjustable lock front wheel.
Durability:
The Jeep Overland Limited Stroller has a lightweight aluminum frame. Note that while this does give the Jeep Overland pretty good durability, you would absolutely notice a difference versus the BOB Ironman Stroller which uses the much sturdier aircraft grade welded aluminum. Again, this is a matter of price. The Jeep Overland Limited is much less expensive and if you aren’t taking the baby out for a jog every day, this stroller should suit you just fine. A stroller is truly an investment in your family and your lifestyle. Just be realistic about your usage expectations versus the price of the stroller you really need.
